Announcing that he and Lauren Burnham are expecting their first child together, the former race car driver spills that they took more than six pregnancy tests to make sure.

AceShowbiz - Arie Luyendyck Jr. and Lauren Burnham are expecting their first child together. When making the announcement of the happy news, the couple who met each other on season 22 of "The Bachelor" confessed that they already know their baby's gender. However, they are determined to keep it a secret until their wedding day.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Arie revealed that he and his 26-year-old fiancee were planning to make the gender reveal on the day of their nuptials, which will take place on January 12, 2019 at the Haiku Mill in Maui, Hawaii. As for the reason why, the 37-year-old reasoned, "We'll have everyone in one place." He went on to add, "We have to be careful not to slip!"

When grilled further about their baby's gender, Lauren opened up that she and Arie had guessed correctly. "I will say the entire time I've had an inkling that it was one or the other," the real estate agent teased. Nonetheless, the couple didn't really prefer one more than the other. "But I think either way, we're so excited," Arie stated. "I think we both were not really leaning one way or the other."

Speaking of Lauren's pregnancy itself, Arie couldn't hide his excitement over the first time they learned about it. The former race car driver spilled that Lauren took a total of seven pregnancy tests to make sure. "We weren't trying, but we are so excited," he gushed. "It's going to be a whole new chapter in our lives."

Arie also made public his happiness upon knowing that he is about to become a father. In a recent Instagram post, he wrote, "Nothing compares, absolutely nothing compares to the moment you find out you're going to be a dad! We cried, we laughed and it really was such a special moment for us, we're so freakin' happy!"

While Lauren shared similar excitement, she couldn't help to think about their impending wedding. "The first thing we thought of was, 'Oh my gosh. Our wedding,' " she recalled. "Obviously we're not married yet, but this is the way it happened - and this is probably the way it was meant to happen!"

Despite her initial excitement, it wasn't all fun and games for Lauren. She admitted that her first trimester "was miserable." She further elaborated, "I had really bad morning sickness and barely left the house. But over the last week I've started feeling a lot better, so it’s nice to have my energy back."
