Tributes for the comic legend also comes from other Marvel films franchise stars including Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland and many more.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have joined the Marvel movie superheroes who have taken to social media to salute comic book king Stan Lee.

The 95 year old, who helped develop and create their characters Wolverine and Deadpool as well as Avengers, X-Men and Spider-Man among others, died on Monday morning, November 12, and Twitter has lit up with tributes.

"We've lost a creative genius," Jackman states. "Stan Lee was a pioneering force in the superhero universe. I'm proud to have been a small part of his legacy and... to have helped bring one of his characters to life."

Reynolds adds, "RIP Stan. Thanks for everything," while Zachary Levi, who will star in the upcoming Marvel movie "Shazam!", writes, "I am so grateful to have known and worked with this man, even briefly, over the years. He quite literally changed the landscape of entertainment forever."

And Kat Dennings, who worked with Lee on "Thor", calls him "a gentleman and a genius," adding, "It was an honor to be a small part of his universe. Rest In Peace."

Other tributes poured in from Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan, who wrote, "You will be missed. I wouldn't be here without you," while "Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. tweeted, "I owe it all to you... Rest In Peace Stan...," and "Spider-Man" Tom Holland wrote, "How many millions of us are indebted to this guy, none more so than me. The father of Marvel has made so many people so incredibly happy. What a life and what a thing to have achieved. Rest in peace Stan."

Many famous fans and collaborators signed off with "Excelsior!" - the word Lee exclaimed at the end of his cameo in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

Lee made cameos in all of the Marvel films - his final appearance for next year's (19) "Avengers 4" was shot before his death.

Rapper Travis Scott (II), Seth Rogen, Terry Crews, Jamie Lee Curtis, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Michelle Rodriguez also took to Twitter after the news of Lee's death broke to pay tribute to the comic book mastermind.
