AceShowbiz - As a supermodel with more than 30 years of experience, Elle MacPherson must have mastered the art of walking on the runaways. Still, she couldn't avoid an occasional tumble during her casual outings like what happened on Sunday, November 4.
The Australian-born beauty was leaving a florist in Sydney when she suffered the nasty-looking accident. She looked stylish in a pair of flared leather trousers and a cable-knit black jumper. Holding a bouquet of flowers, she posed for paparazzi for a while before walking toward an awaiting car.
She was in a good mood and flashed a smile while walking confidently before she slipped and fell into the gutter when trying to get into the backseat of her car. Her white boots with wooden heels that thinned into a point at the end seemed to cause her losing her balance when hitting the gutter.
Her driver was quick to offer her a hand as she struggled to get back on her feet, giving paparazzi more than enough time to capture the embarrassing moment on their cameras. She, however, managed to protect her bouquet from damage.
Elle was in Australia to attend Derby Day at Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse on Saturday. She turned heads with her quirky outfit, a white jumpsuit by Australian designer Toni Maticevski with a frilly skirt overlay and a white Philip Treacy cowboy hat.
When asked to remove her sunglasses, she told reporters, "It's part of the look!" Still, she was excited to see what others wore at the exclusive event. "I just can't wait to get out and see what people are wearing. People look beautiful and the black and white theme makes for a very pretty picture when you walk in," she said.
