Though clearly surprised by the mishap, the 'No Tears Left to Cry' singer powers through her stage appearance for 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande suffered quite a shock when she nearly fell during a TV appearance on Wednesday, November 07.

The singer took to the stage for the latest episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and performed her new song "Thank U, Next" - a tune which references some of her past romances, including with her ex-fiance Pete Davidson and late boyfriend Mac Miller.

Ariana stepped out in a white outfit alongside her backup singers and song co-writers Victoria Monet and Tayla Parx for the performance, with the set decorated to resemble the "You Don't Own Me" scene from 1996 movie "The First Wives Club".

At one point, the 25-year-old hopped up to a chair to sing the lyrics, "Plus, I met someone else / We havin' better discussions" but as she stepped down her white high heeled boots caused her to stumble.

She managed to save herself from falling to the ground but couldn't help but exclaim, "Oh my God!" and briefly giggled before continuing to start the next verse.

While Ariana powered through the energetic performance, she did also pause when it came to singing a verse about her parents.

She appeared to be a little choked up as she said the lyrics, "One day I'll walk down the aisle / Holding hands with my mama. I'll be thanking my dad. 'Cause she grew from the drama."

Ariana has previously spoken about the strained relationship she has had with her father Edward Butera following his split from her mother Joan Grande when she was around eight years old.

Yet, the superstar managed to complete the song and, along with her dancers, ran up the stairs of the studio at the end - much to host Ellen's surprise.

"We were supposed to come down?" asked Ariana, to which Ellen quipped: "Yeah, you left me!"
