The former 'Clueless' actress reveals in the legal documents she submitted in Los Angeles that she and her estranged husband, Christopher Jarecki, are no closer to striking an agreement.

AceShowbiz - Actress Alicia Silverstone is requesting the help of a private judge to help her resolve ongoing divorce issues with her estranged husband Christopher Jarecki.

The "Clueless" star announced her separation from singer Christopher Jarecki in February, and moved to legally end the marriage in May, when she also sought joint custody of their seven-year-old son Bear.

The former couple has been trying to negotiate a divorce settlement ever since, but Alicia reveals the exes are no closer to striking a split agreement, and now she's asking for permission to bring in a mediator.

She has personally filed court papers in Los Angeles, explaining talks are ongoing, with "all issues in dispute," reports The Blast.

The actress indicates the pair has agreed to split the cost of hiring a private judge, as they are committed to securing a "signed judgement."

Alicia wed punk rocker Chris in Lake Tahoe, California in 2005, after eight years of dating, and at the time of their marriage breakdown, her representative issued a statement which read, "They still deeply love and respect each other and remain very close friends but have mutually decided to separate after being together for 20 years."

The split news emerged three months after Alicia, 42, revealed how her commitment to her family life had impacted the way she approached new acting gigs.

"Lately I've been making some tougher decisions about big parts that would be sort of commercial, but not necessarily satisfying to your soul. It's not worth it to me," she told Vulture in November 2017, after appearing in Yorgos Lanthimos' critically-acclaimed psychological horror "The Killing of a Sacred Deer", and family comedy "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul".

"I'd rather (spend) a day on a Yorgos film than three months doing something I'm not passionate about," she said.
