On 'We're Not Friends', Jacob Sartorius appears to throw subtle shade at the 'Stranger Things' star's friendship with the Canadian rapper.

AceShowbiz - It's been a month since Millie Bobby Brown and Drake caused a stir with their friendship. While everyone has stopped talking about it at this point, it seems like the actress' ex-boyfriend Jacob Sartorius is still bothered by it as he appears to throw subtle shade at it on his new song "We're Not Friends".
"We're not friends, we're not friends/ Do you think I really wanna hear about him? I do it for a reason, not just to be nice/ Girl I wanna give you more than good advice," he sings in the chorus, most probably referencing to Millie's controversial comment about the rapper at the 2018 Emmy Awards.
At the time, the "Stranger Things" star revealed that she turned to Drake for dating advice, making many raise their eyebrows due to the two's large age gap.
In an interview with Billboard, Jacob himself didn't particularly state that he threw shade at the Canada native on the song, only describing the track as a "friend zone" song. "It's basically about being in that position where you want to be more than friends with somebody," the "Sweatshirt" singer said. "And you're just done hearing about the other guys she's been with or trying to be with."
"We're Not Friends" is included on Jacob's new EP called "Better With You", which hit the stores on November 2. All seven songs on the project were inspired by a real-life relationship that had him madly in love, whether it was happy or heartbreaking. Even though he didn't tell who the muse for his songs was, a source confirmed that it was about Millie.
Jacob and Millie broke up back in July after dating for seven months. The confirmed the split news through a joint statement, saying that "we are both happy and remaining friends."
