The daughter of Reverend Run admits she was left numb with pain after learning that Sutton Tennyson was fatally shot in the garage of his Atlanta, Georgia home.

AceShowbiz - Hip-hop legend Reverend Run (Rev Run)'s daughter Angela Simmons is "numb" with pain after her baby's father was fatally shot at his Atlanta, Georgia home.

Police were called to Sutton Tennyson's neighbourhood on Saturday, November 03, after receiving calls reporting "shots fired".

They found the 37 year old dead in his garage, and while initial reports suggested he had been killed in a home invasion, authorities insist that is not the case.

According to TMZ.com, officers believe Sutton had been standing in his driveway talking to another man, when the conversation turned violent and a gun was pulled. The suspect fled the scene of the crime in a car.

Cops have yet to publicly identify the suspect, or make an arrest in the case.

The tragic news has left Sutton's ex, fashion designer and reality TV star Angela, heartbroken, and in an emotional tribute on Instagram, she vowed to protect their two-year-old son, Sutton Jr., as best she can.

The 31 year old shared a snap of father and son and captioned it, "Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift . I'm hurting . I'm numb".

"Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone . I cant believe I'm even saying Rest In Peace Sutton . I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise (sic)".
