Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Marries Lauren Pesce After Prison Sentence

The 'Jersey Shore' star and his college sweetheart tied the knot at a New Jersey castle with his co-stars in attendance, two months before he begins his jail stint.

AceShowbiz - Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino is a married man. The reality TV star has officially tied the knot with his fiancee Lauren Pesce, eight months after they became engaged. The couple wed at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey on Thursday, November 1.

According to Us Weekly which first reported the news, Mike's "Jersey Shore" co-stars Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick were in attendance. Snooki and JWoww's 4-year-old daughters, Giovanna and Meilani respectively, served as flower girls. Meanwhile, Ronnie attended the wedding with his on-/off-girlfriend Jen Harley and their 6-month-old daughter, Ariana.

"We are so incredibly excited to begin our journey as husband and wife!" the newlyweds said in a joint statement. "We are each other's best friend and together we can handle anything. Thank you to all our family, friends and fans who have supported us every step of the way. Gym, Tan, Laurens is the new GTL! With Love, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Sorrentino."

Deena and Angelina shared pictures of them dressing up to attend the wedding. "so excited to celebrate @mikethesituation and @lauren_pesce tonight," Deena wrote in a caption of the photo featuring her and husband Christopher Buckner.

Mike also took to Instagram before his wedding to express his excitement to start a new journey with his girlfriend. "Today I marry my best friend , My College Sweetheart, My everything. Together as a team we can accomplish anything. I am so grateful that you are by my side. I promise to be my best self everyday & make you proud to call yourself Mrs. Sorrentino. Love you with all my heart. Here’s to our big day," he wrote along with a photo of them kissing.

Mike proposed to Lauren on Valentine's Day when she visited him in Miami, but it wasn't announced until April. It was featured in season 2 of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" in June. The couple met in college and began dating four years before he starred on "Jersey Shore" in 2009. They broke up, but later rekindled their romance in 2012.

Their wedding comes on the heels of Mike's prison sentence for tax evasion. He will begin his 8-month jail stint on January 15. The MTV star was also handed two years of supervised release following the stint behind bars, 500 hours of community service, and a $10,000 fine.
