AceShowbiz - "2 Dope Queens" star Jessica Williams will lead the cast of Mindy Kaling's upcoming TV take on beloved 1994 movie "Four Weddings and a Funeral".
In Kaling's new series, Williams will play the communications director for a New York senatorial campaign, who receives a wedding invitation from her college schoolmate and decides to turn her back on her professional aspirations to travel to England and reconnect with old friends, according to Deadline.
The show will be Kaling's second original project with streaming service Hulu, following "The Mindy Project".
Williams and her fellow comedienne Phoebe Robinson found fame with the popular "2 Dope Queens" podcast that was picked up by HBO bosses for four hour-long specials earlier this year.
Williams will also be seen in the new "Fantastic Beasts" movies, "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald", and she has also signed on to star in Olivia Wilde's directorial debut, "Booksmart", alongside Jason Sudeikis, Lisa Kudrow and Will Forte.
