In an effort to distance himself from his singer ex-fiancee, the comedian allegedly changes his phone number.

AceShowbiz - Breakups have always been something that takes some time to overcome, even for celebrities. Words are, Pete Davidson has been having a rough time after his breakup from Ariana Grande and needs sometime away from her.

"This has been a difficult experience for Pete," a source shares to Us Weekly. "He's always been an extremely private person and the Ariana Grande spotlight and social media were a lot of new pressure for him."

In an effort to "distance himself" from her ex-girlfriend, the comedian reportedly changes his number. "He decided to focus on himself. He's had the matching tattoo that he got with her changed," the source adds, with two other sources saying that the two are currently not in speaking terms.

This report arrives after Ariana slammed previous rumors stating that the "Saturday Night Live" star kept begging her to get together again, to the point where she needed to tell him to "leave her alone."

Taking to Twitter, the "No Tears Left to Cry" singer said, "none of this is true. It'd be so helpful if the media and everybody would please just drop it and drop makin stuff up so we can heal and support one another moving forward. It sucks to see this stuff. Thank u guys for understanding. Much love and appreciation."

Ariana and Pete called off their engagement earlier this month after whirlwind romance. Sources close to the former couple reported that they decided to end their relationship because they both understood it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off. They allegedly still love each other, but things are over romantically.

Both are now busy with their own job, with Ariana preparing to hit the road for tour in support of her album "Sweetener". Meanwhile, Pete recently took the stage for a stand-up gig at "Judd & Pete for America" benefit.
