The 'Love on the Weekend' singer gets candid about his sex life when speaking to Larry David's daughter, Cazzie David, for his unofficial Instagram live show, 'Current Mood'.

AceShowbiz - John Mayer is adopting "no holds barred" when talking about his sex life. The "Half of My Heart" singer recently sat down with writer/actress Cazzie David for a live broadcast of his unofficial Instagram Live show, "Current Mood", and opened up about how many women he had shared his bed with.

On Monday, October 22, the 41-year-old, who romanced Katy Perry and Taylor Swift in the past, was asked by the daughter of Larry David to blink twice if he had slept with more than 800 women. As his response, he stared directly at the camera without blinking. "Are you surprised that I've slept with less than 800 people?" he asked the viewers.

Refusing to put the topic to rest, Cazzie pressed on to ask John to blink once if he had slept with more than 500. Again, the seven-time Grammy winner kept his eyes wide open in front of the camera. When commended for the confession, he said, "By the way, what does it say about my expectation that if you find out that I've slept with less than 500 [people] you're kind of impressed with me? Like 'He's a good guy!' "

John then turned serious as he offered his thought on how his celebrity status gave him insight of what it's like to be women. "Yes, I could have sex with somebody at any given moment," John explained. "But I think being a famous man is somewhat similar to be a beautiful woman, which means yes there is access, there's very seldom any desire." He went on to note, "The older I get, the less desirous I am about unsheathing new body parts."

During the Q&A session with Cazzie, John also talked about his masturbation habits. Asked if he had ever pleasured himself to his own music, the "New Light" crooner retorted, "I don't think I've masturbated to any music except when I was much younger and MTV was all their was for a young man." He added, "In what world do you imagine that a man would masturbate to his own music?"

As for whether or not he ever sang during sex, the "Your Body Is a Wonderland" hitmaker claimed, "No, but a girl has asked me to sing some of my songs in probably the run up to it." He further elaborated, "I probably did in my early 20s, I probably used my music to hook up a couple times. It doesn't make it any less from the heart."
