A statement confirming McMurray's passing details that the 34-year-old rapper was walking on the wing of a plane to film a music video when the plane went into downward spiral.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Jon James McMurray has died in a video plane stunt.
The 34-year-old, who is also a well known stuntman, fell to his death in British Columbia on Saturday, October 20, while filming a promo, in which he was walking on the wing of a plane.
"As Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldn't correct," a statement reads. "Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly."

No one else was injured in the accident.
McMurray's music videos often featured the rap star performing stunts.
He gave up his passion for skiing after breaking his back and shattering a heel in a fall.
Officials at the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have launched an investigation into McMurray's death.
