Opening up about his youngest son's battle against neuroblastoma in 2016, the 'American Horror Story' Co-creator reveals he is donating $10 million dollars to Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Murphy is feeling extremely generous in the wake of his youngest son's fourth birthday. The "American Horror Story" co-creator recently announced that he is donating $10 million dollars to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as an expression of gratitude to the staff at the hospital where Ford Theodore Miller Murphy received treatment for neuroblastoma.

On Monday, October 22, the executive producer of "The Assassination of Gianni Versace:American Crime Story" took to Instagram to detail Ford's cancer battle in 2016. Along with a picture of the smiling toddler, he kicked off the lengthy post by writing, "I'd like you to meet Ford Theodore Miller Murphy. Today is a big day in his and our family's lives."

I’d like you to meet Ford Theodore Miller Murphy. Today is a big day in his and our family’s lives. Two years ago, this sweet little innocent boy with a deep belly laugh and an obsession with Monster Trucks was diagnosed with neuroblastoma…an often fatal pediatric cancer. Ford’s cancer — an abdominal tumor the size of a tennis ball — was found during a normal check up by his brilliant pediatrician Dr. Lauren Crosby @drlaurencrosby. From there, Ford has undergone a huge surgery and several difficult procedures. My better half, David Miller, was a rock through this — strong and patient and loving (I was always a trembling wreck). Ford was strong as well, and today he is thriving. He just celebrated his fourth birthday, a milestone we are all so thrilled about. Ford is doing so well because of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles @childrensla. Today at the hospital we are donating a wing in tribute to Ford and our family is making a gift of $10 million dollars so that other children can experience the love and care of this exceptional facility. No child is turned away at Children’s Hospital. We are so honored and lucky to contribute, and encourage everybody who can to do the same. We love you, Ford. 📸 credit: @dcmphoto.biz

"Two years ago, this sweet little innocent boy with a deep belly laugh and an obsession with Monster Trucks was diagnosed with neuroblastoma…an often fatal pediatric cancer," the 52-year-old further explained. He went on to note that the boy's pediatrician Dr. Lauren Crosby found an abdominal tumor the size of a tennis ball during a routine check up.

Ever since the discovery, Ford went through "a huge surgery and several difficult procedures," Ryan noted. He continued on to assure that the toddler is now "strong" and "thriving." In the post, he also praised photographer husband David Miller for being his rock throughout the ordeal, describing the latter as "strong and patient and loving."

Ryan then credited Children's Hospital Los Angeles for his son's improved health. As the family's way of saying their thank you, he wrote, "Today at the hospital we are donating a wing in tribute to Ford and our family is making a gift of $10 million dollars."

On the other reason behind the generous donation, the "Scream Queens" creator stated that he wants other children to "experience the love and care of this exceptional facility." He added, "No child is turned away at Children's Hospital. We are so honored and lucky to contribute, and encourage everybody who can to do the same."
