Her single for 'A Star Is Born' movie, 'Shallow', has been predicted to snag an Oscar nomination for original song.

AceShowbiz - Since Lady GaGa first came to the music industry, her music has always been something that people enjoy the most and becomes a huge hit. And this time is no different. Her contribution to the soundtrack to her movie "A Star Is Born" has been receiving a lot of loves from music critics as well as people from all over the world.

"Shallow", one of the singles off the soundtrack album, peaked at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 and topped the Digital Songs chart for two consecutive weeks. It marked her fifteenth top ten entry on the chart. The song additionally ruled music charts in several countries such as Ireland, Hungary and Scotland.

The song apparently was so loved by music critics that Brian Truitt of USA Today predicted it might snag an Oscar nomination for original song in addition to becoming "a new favorite at karaoke bars everywhere." Eve Barlow of Pitchfork, meanwhile, said that the theme "may prove to be GaGa's own apex in the spotlight, her completion into superstar of charts and screen."

The success of both the movie and singles led to the soundtrack album debuting atop Billboard 200 chart. The feat made her extend her record as the female artist with the most chart-topping albums during the 2010s, breaking her tie with Taylor Swift. It spent a second week atop the music chart.

GaGa is currently working on her sixth studio album, which still doesn't have an official title or a release date, though it has been speculated that it will hit the shelves sometime in 2019. For her upcoming album, it is reported that she collaborates with well-known producers such as Bloodpop and Mark Ronson. This makes fan believe that she will return to her party anthem era because both producers are known for their EDM and electropop music.

Besides her sixth album, GaGa is gearing up for her two-year residency, Lady GaGa Enigma. It will take place at the MGM Park Theater and is scheduled to begin in December.
