AceShowbiz - Amber Stevens West has shared with the world her baby girl. The Claire Davis of "Happy Together" gave birth to a healthy baby girl, her first child with actor husband Andrew J. West, on Sunday, October 7, and was more than happy to dole out a picture of the newborn.
A little more than 10 days after the birth, Amber shared a picture of her bundle of joy with People magazine. Picking up a Fall nuance, the photo displayed the sleeping baby wearing white sweater and orange polka dot pants. She was laid down with various kind of flowers and little pumpkins circling her.
Amber and Andrew named their baby girl, whose arrival coincided with her 32nd birthday, Ava Laverne West. It was reported that the "Ava" came from one of her grandmothers, while "Laverne" was selected as a tribute to two of her great-grandmothers. The infant was born at 6:03 P.M. in Los Angeles, weighing 8 lbs., 9 oz., and measuring 20½ inches in length.
The happy parents, who first met each other on the set of "Greek", have also expressed their delight over the arrival, "We feel like we’ve been waiting our entire lives to meet our daughter, Ava. Now that she’s here, we’re completely obsessed."
"She's already introduced a new and unique type of love into our lives," the couple who has been married for nearly four years further explained. They added that they are also eager to see what Little Ava will "show" and "teach" them as she grows older.
Amber made public news of her pregnancy back in May. At the time, she posted a collage of photos showing her baby bump on her Instagram account. In the caption, the Maya Dickson of "22 Jump Street" wrote, "The best is yet to come! #comingthisfall."
Two months before the arrival of little Ava, Amber threw a baby shower along with Andrew. At the event, she spilled on how obsessed her husband with their baby. "Every single day he's, like, 'I can't wait for her to get here. Where's this baby? I need her to come now,' " she told Us Weekly. "Honestly, he’s going to be a much better parent than I am."
