The 'Fefe' rapper, who faces up to a year behind bars for squeezing hard on police's hand, appeared before Brooklyn Criminal Court on October 16.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Tekashi69 a.k.a 6ix9ine is reportedly considering a plea deal in his misdemeanour assault case.

The 22 year old, real name Daniel Hernandez, was detained by police officers in his native Brooklyn, New York after violating parking rules by leaving his vehicle in front of a fire hydrant in May. Cops then discovered his licence had been suspended, and he was taken to a local station to be cited.

However, during his detention authorities discovered Hernandez had a warrant out for his arrest in Houston, Texas, for allegedly choking a teenager at a local mall in January, and they attempted to handcuff the MC, who retaliated by reportedly grabbing hold of a cop's hand and squeezing it so hard it caused swelling.

He was subsequently charged with misdemeanour assault charges and now faces up to a year in prison. On Tuesday, October 16, Hernandez returned to Brooklyn Criminal Court for jury selection, but it was revealed he is working on a potential plea deal. Details about the deal were not made public, according to the New York Post's Page Six.

Meanwhile, Hernandez is also facing the possibility of serving prison time for violating the terms of an agreement he made in 2015 after pleading guilty to one count of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance. The rapper has always maintained he had no idea the naked 13 year old he fooled around with in a viral video was a minor.

He is due back in court later this month to be sentenced.
