The 'Guardians of the Galaxy' star and the 'Overboard' actress, who split in August 2017, are also reported to have agreed on the division of their property.

AceShowbiz - Actors Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are one step closer to divorce after signing off on a settlement.

The stars separated in August, 2017 after eight years of marriage, and identical divorce papers were filed in December (17), with both citing irreconcilable differences.

Now the exes have agreed to share custody of their son Jack, six, while their property will be divided up as per their prenuptial agreement, reports TMZ.com.

The news emerges after Anna's lawyer, celebrity favourite Laura Wasser, filed a motion in court on Monday, October 15, asking for permission to remove the case from the Los Angeles court system and appoint a private judge to help the former couple finalise the split.

It's the same tactic Wasser used earlier this month for another of her star clients, Jennifer Garner, to speed up her divorce from Ben Affleck, and avoid the case getting caught up in the court backlog.

Both Chris and Anna have since moved on from the broken marriage: "The House Bunny" actress began dating cinematographer Michael Bennett two months after parting ways with Pratt, while the "Guardians of the Galaxy" star has been linked to Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter Katherine following a picnic date in June.

Chris is said to have been set up with the interior designer and lifestyle blogger by her mother, newswoman Maria Shriver, not long after he admitted he wasn't enjoying being a bachelor again - or being a single father to young Jack.

"Divorce sucks," he told Entertainment Weekly in April. "But at the end of the day, we've got a great kid who's got two parents who love him very much. And we're finding a way to navigate this while still remaining friends and still being kind to one another. It's not ideal, but yeah, I think both of us are actually probably doing better."
