AceShowbiz - Kanye West and Kid Rock have reportedly been added to the guest list for a signing ceremony of the Music Modernization Act on Thursday, October 11. Neil Portnow, the president and CEO of the Recording Academy, as well as Mitch Glazier, the president of the Recording Industry Association of America, will also attend the event.

Reps for both Kanye and Kid didn't immediately respond to request for comment regarding their presences at Donald Trump's signing of the music legislation, which is scheduled for 11:45 A.M. local time.

The legislation is a landmark change for the way the music industry works in the age of streaming service. It includes a number of component, including a guarantee that songwriters and artists receive payments for pre-1972 recordings and increase in payments for songs played on streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music and Soundcloud.

The Senate unanimously passed the Music Modernization Act on September 18. A week later, the House of Representatives unanimously approved the updated version of the bill before sending it to President Trump's desk.

On the same day as the signing ceremony, Kanye will meet senior advisor and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner before sitting down with POTUS for a lunch. They are expected to discuss job availability for former convicts, a way to bring manufacturing job to Chicago and gang violence prevention among other topics.

Ahead of their meeting at the White House, Kim Kardashian has expressed nothing but support for her rapper husband. "I'm proud of my husband," the KKW Beauty owner said in an interview with Extra. "He's going to the White House in a few days to go talk about the city of Chicago and to help with some really exciting things... I'm really hopeful that the president listens and can make that happen."
