A new fan theory suggests how Nathaniel Hawthorne's 'The New Adam and Eve' may hint at how the series may end.

AceShowbiz - "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" is about twists after twists. However, last week's episode "Or Could It Be...Satan?" seemingly offers a hint at how the series may end.

Airing on Wednesday, October 3, the episode featured some of the events which lead up to the apocalypse, one of them was Michael Langdon's (Cody Fern) pre-bomb history. It was said that Michael was recruited to the Hawthorne School where he studied warlocks. He undoubtedly had amazing powers, though they're far from being magical. That led the elders of the school to be so eager to usurp the witches' power that they decided to test him as a possible Alpha.

For the test, Michael was asked to locate Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The New Adam and Eve". The short book suggested that after some sort of "Day of Doom" that has swept away all of the people, there will be a new Adam and Eve stepping into the world. With that, the world will start anew.

Fans assume that's how the new season will end. But that leaves a new question: who would be the new Adam and Eve? Some people believe that Emily (Ash Santos) and Timothy (Kyle Allen) could be the pair. They were chosen for Outpost 3 due to their special genetics.

Another fan theory points out that Michael and Mallory may be the new Adam and Eve. It was revealed last week that Mallory is possibly connected to a divine bloodline of sorts. If she is, it's not entirely impossible for her to be the one who will bring some balance at the end of Apocalypse.

Starring Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Emma Robertsc, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd and Jessica Lange among others, "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" airs on Wednesdays at 10 P.M. on FX.
