It has been uncovered that the 'Hello' hitmaker collects more than $11.2 million in profit after taxes from the two firms she set up to oversee her album sales and royalties.

AceShowbiz - Superstar Adele raked in nearly $31,000 (£24,000) a day in 2017, without lifting a finger.

The "Hello" hitmaker's company records for the past year reveal she banked more than $11.2 million (£8.6 million) in profit after taxes from the two firms she set up to oversee her album sales and royalties, Melted Stone Ltd and Melted Stone Publishing Ltd, even though her last studio project, 25, was released in 2015.

According to paperwork obtained by The Sun, the British soul sensation also boasts just under $53.7 million (£41 million) "cash in the bank", partly due to the success of her "Adele Live" world tour, which wrapped last summer.

The trek earned $186 million (£142 million) through ticket sales and merchandise, with the singer/songwriter personally taking home $55 million (£42 million).

Adele, who shares five-year-old son Angelo with her longtime partner, Simon Konecki, is currently working on new material for her next album, which is expected to be released by Christmas, 2019.
