The co-founder of Death Row Records, who is convicted of killing former friend Terry Carter, will be held in Los Angeles County Jail while awaiting for his transport to a state prison.

AceShowbiz - Fallen rap boss Suge Knight has officially been sentenced to serve 28 years behind bars for killing former friend Terry Carter with his truck.

Knight sat quietly in court in Los Angeles on Thursday morning, October 04, as members of Carter's family read their victims impact statements and then he was led away in handcuffs to continue his prison time.

He has already served well over three years behind bars awaiting trial for his hit and run following a 2015 altercation in a car park.

Suge and his legal team maintained he was acting in self-defence, but last month he accepted a plea deal with prosecutors, agreeing to a 28-year prison sentence with credit for time already served.

According to TMZ, Knight will be held in L.A. County Jail until he's transported to a state prison.
