Actress Melanie Lynskey heard noise coming from the back of the 'Gravity Falls' actor's Hollywood home before finding out that the window was broken in a burglary attempt.

AceShowbiz - Former "Joan of Arcadia" star Jason Ritter is the latest celebrity to be targeted in a series of burglaries in and around Los Angeles.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the 38-year-old actor's fiancee, Melanie Lynskey, was alone in their Hollywood home late last week, end September 30 when she heard a noise at the back of the house. She initially believed it was her fiance arriving home, but then discovered their back door window had been broken. TMZ's sources say the burglar was scared away by Melanie's presence and fled before police arrived. Los Angeles Police Department detectives are now investigating the attempted burglary.
The crime is just the latest in a string of burglaries to have taken place at stars' luxury pads in Hollywood.
Police were called to Rihanna's home last Tuesday night after criminals broke into her Hollywood Hills property. The "Umbrella" hitmaker was not at home at the time, and the suspects escaped the scene before they could be apprehended.
Other stars living in an around L.A. have also been targeted by thieves, as French Montana, Chief Keef, Wiz Khalifa, Bella Thorne, and Christina Milian have all been the victims of recent attempted robberies.
