Resale store manager Michael Pascuzzi asks he most important question of the night as he pops the question to girlfriend Michael Pascuzzi, who is among the audience members.

AceShowbiz - A TV proposal seemingly is a thing lately. After a "Big Brother" proposal in the recent season 20 finale, a contestant of "Jeopardy!" followed in the step by popping the question to his girlfriend in Thursday, September 27 episode of the game show.

Resale store manager from Orlando, Florida, Michael Pascuzzi, asked the most important question of the night at the beginning of the show. Host Alex Trebek said, "Okay, now, ladies and gentlemen, normally when I interview the contestants, I base my conversation on little bits of little information they have supplied us, but with regard to Michael Pascuzzi from Orlando, Florida, I have absolutely nothing on the card, so what do you want to talk about?"

Pascuzzi the said that he would fill in for him, before turning to the audience and said, "I just wanted to say one quick thing and ask Maria Shafer right there." The camera later panned at Schaefer who looked flustered.

"[I wanted to ask] if she would make a winner today, and marry me," Pascuzzi continued, prompting Schaefer to get teary eyed. "Would you marry me?" he asked, to which Shafer quickly responded, "Yes, of course."

The host then joked, "Sorry Maria, you responded too quickly. I was about to say we'll have the answer to that question right after this commercial break." Shafer went along with the joke, saying, "That would be, 'What is yes?' "

It was said Pascuzzi arrenged the touching moment with the help of contestant coordinator Corina Nusu. Nusu jokingly asked Pascuzzi before the show when he was going to "put a ring on it" after learning about their long-term relationship.

In addition to Pascuzzi's "Jeopardy!" and Swaggy C's "Big Brother" TV proposals, Emmy-winning director Glenn Weiss made headlines after he got on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Jan Svendsen during the 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on September 17. During his speech after winning an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special award for The Oscars, he said, "And mom was right, don't ever let go of your sunshine. You wonder why I don't like to call you my girlfriend? Because I want to call you my wife."
