Executives at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce refused to remove the disgraced comedian's star despite his rape conviction and sentencing, prompting vandals to write words on it.

AceShowbiz - Bill Cosby's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been vandalized following the disgraced comedian's rape conviction and sentencing earlier this week, beg September 24.

"The Cosby Show" star was sentenced to serve three to 10 years behind bars on Tuesday for the 2004 rape of Temple University employee Andrea Constand, and he started his sentence immediately.

Despite the conviction and the jail time, Hollywood Walk of Fame bosses at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce have refused to remove the fallen funnyman's star, making it a target for activists and vandals alike.

Commuters and tourists were greeted by the words "SERIAL RAPIST" and "#METOO" as they walked past the star on Thursday morning, September 27.

The #MeToo movement, created to highlight sexual misconduct and harassment, launched after movie producer Harvey Weinstein's bad behavior was detailed in two explosive news articles a year ago, October 2017.

The star was defaced with the words "SERIAL RAPIST" earlier this week, but that graffiti was quickly removed.

It's not the first time activists have vandalized a star on the Walk of Fame to prove a point - in July U.S. leader Donald Trump's plaque was smashed by a man wielding a pick-axe. It was previously destroyed by another vandal in 2016.

Both men turned themselves in to police and were handed hefty fines.
