The 'Jersey Shore' star and her husband's split was a 'long time coming' as she cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason that 'caused the breakdown of the marriage.'

AceShowbiz - Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Roger Mathews are heading to splitsville. The reality TV star has filed for divorce from her husband after three years of marriage. In the divorce papers filed on Wednesday, September 12 in Ocean County, New Jersey, she cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason of the split.
"The Plaintiff and the Defendant have irreconcilable differences which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of at least six months which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved and that there is no prospect of reconciliation," read her complaint.
JWoww requested "primary residential custody" of their two children and asked her estranged husband to pay for child support, health insurance and funds for other health care expenses. She also requested to be listed as a trustee for their children life insurance policy. As for their property, the 32-year-old demanded their assets, which were obtained during their marriage, to be split equally.
Fans may not see the divorce coming, but those around JWoww and Roger knew that there's a problem brewing between the couple. As stated in the divorce papers, they had been struggling for "at least six months." A source tells Us Weekly, "the split was a long time coming," adding that "everyone was hoping they'd work it out, but it didn't happen."
A so-called insider from JWoww's new show "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" says that Roger was supposed to appear in the second season of the reality series regularly. "Roger was supposed to appear on the second season of 'Jersey Shore' reunion regularly, but decided right before Jenni left that he didn't want to do it," the insider explains. "He doesn't like being the center of attention. He is fine with who Jenni is, but never had any desire to be famous or on TV. He lets her do her thing and doesn't get in the way."
Roger and JWoww met in 2010 while she was still filming "Jersey Shore", and tied the knot in October 2015. They welcomed their first child, Greyson Valor Mathews, in 2014 and their second child, Meilani Alexandra Mathews, in 2016.
