Though the 'Lights Please' hitmaker will headline the one-day event that has been rescheduled due to Hurricane Florence, the rest of the line-up remains 'subject to change.'

AceShowbiz - Rapper J. Cole is aiming to launch his inaugural Dreamville Festival next spring (19) after Hurricane Florence forced him to pull the event earlier this month.

The "Lights Please" hitmaker had been looking forward to hitting the stage alongside the likes of SZA, Young Thug and Big Sean in his native North Carolina on 15 September, but the one-day bash was scrapped over safety concerns.

Now J. Cole has set 6 April (19) as the make-up date for ticketholders, with the hip-hop star remaining among the headliners, although the rest of the line-up remains "subject to change."

The news emerges shortly after officials at Cole's youth charity, the Dreamville Foundation, announced the establishment of a hurricane relief campaign to help residents of his hometown, Fayetteville, recover from the natural disaster.

Organisers have been setting up hot food stations throughout the city, stocking emergency pantries with supplies, and assisting with the provision of temporary housing options for families left homeless by the storm.
