AceShowbiz - NFL may have the answer to public's outcry regarding the headliner at Super Bowl LIII halftime show. Cardi B's who is featured in Maroon 5's song "Girls Like You", is reportedly in talks to join the band at the big sports event.

The "Bartier Cardi" raptress is reportedly being offered to perform her remix with the Adam Levine-fronted band in their latest hit single. However, she is negotiating to get her own solo set, according to TMZ.

With her status as one of the hottest rappers today, Cardi is reportedly playing hard to get. She reportedly has already received a lot of offers to perform in early February, so the Super Bowl organizers may need to fulfill her wish to book her for the gig.

Super Bowl LIII is set to take place at Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta, Georgia on February 3, 2019. NFL has not confirmed whether or not Maroon 5 will headline the halftime show, with a spokesperson diplomatically stating, "It's a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with [longtime sponsor] Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show."

While it's yet to be made official, Waka Flocka Flame has blasted NFL for the rumors. The rapper thinks that the organizers should have picked Atlanta artists to play the game's annual halftime show instead of the seven-piece band, given the fact that the event will be held in the city.

"I think for the Super Bowl you should have somebody that's from Atlanta, representing Atlanta, just because the Super Bowl is here so we could give them that spice," Waka told TMZ. He suggested a slew of artists who the organization should have chosen, such as Migos, Future and Waka himself.

He also took issue with the fact that the possible performer is not a black artist. "They maybe they should have been like, 'You know something. The majority of our players is [sic] from this kind of culture. The majority of our players made us this amount of money. Why shouldn't we not humble down and OK, let's see what's going on?' " he added. "And you're coming to the biggest 'black state' in America, why wouldn't you let a 'black artist' perform? And show the world that we're progressing."

Waka claimed that he didn't hate Maroon 5 because they are "legends," but he still thought that black musicians should have taken the stage instead of the band. "Let's be real, you need Migos on there, man. I feel better if Migos is on there," the "No Hands" rapper said.
