With this achievement, the 'American Idol' alum becomes the first female country singer to have four albums top the chart.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood's new album "Cry Pretty" arrives atop Billboard 200, marking the country singer's fourth No. 1 effort on the chart. Making its way out via Capitol Records Nashville, the 13-track album racked up 266,000 equivalent album units in the week ending September 20, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, 251,000 were in traditional albums sales.

With this achievement, Carrie is the first female country singer to have four albums top the chart. She previously ruled the chart with "Blown Away" (2012), "Play On" (2009) and "Carnival Ride" (2007). "Cry Pretty" additionally logs the biggest sales for any country album since Luke Bryan's "Kill the Lights" bowed atop the chart with 345,000 units in 2015.

Not only in her own music genre, but Carrie also makes another history as the album marks the biggest week for any album by a woman in 2018. It surpassed Cardi B's "Invasion of Privacy", who sold 255,000 units in its first week of sales. It also nabs the largest sales week for a country album by a female artist since Taylor Swift's "Red" racked up 276,000 copies in its ninth week of sales back in 2013.

Even though a country artist tops this week's Billboard 200, the chart is dominated by rappers. Eminem's "Kamikaze" holds the to No. 2 spot with 103,000 units. Rapper 6LACK scores his first top 10 effort as his sophomore album "East Atlanta Love Letter" debuts at No. 3 with 77,000 units.

Drake's "Scorpion" climbs down to No. 4 with 68,000 units while Travis Scott (II)'s "Astroworld" rises from No. 7 to No. 5 with 62,000 units. Post Malone's "Beerbongs & Bentleys" also climbs two spots to No. 6 with 47,000 units.

Ariana Grande's "Sweetener" jumps to No. 7 with 38,000 units, as last week's chart-topped Paul McCartney's "Egypt Station" descends to No. 8 in its second week with 37,000 units. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj jumps back to the top 10 as "Queen" rises to No. 9 with 36,000 units. JUICE WRLD's "Goodbye & Good Riddance" also comes back to the top 10, stepping to No. 10 with just over 36,000 units.

Aiming for No. 1 debut on next week's chart are Prince's posthumous "Piano & a Microphone 1983", Machine Gun Kelly's "Binge" and Josh Groban's "Bridges".
