Presenting the award for best director of a comedy with Andy Samberg, the 'Grey's Anatomy' alum ripped the envelope before the 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star stopped her.

AceShowbiz - Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg were on hand to present the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series at the 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday night, September 17. The two poked fun at the major flub at the 2017 Academy Awards, during which presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced "La La Land" as the Best Picture winner because they got the wrong envelope.
Apparently too excited, the "Grey's Anatomy" alum ripped the envelope. "Why'd you rip the envelope?" a shocked Samberg asked her. "I don't know, I was in the moment! I got overwhelmed." she replied. "The winner is 'La La Land'!" she shouted, before the "Saturday Night Live" alum stopped her, "No, don't say that! Anything but that!"

It’s been an hour and the only bright spot during the #Emmys so far was Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, please give us that buddy cop movie. pic.twitter.com/62frmq7leb

They eventually read the real winner, which was Amy Sherman-Palladino for directing "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel". It was her second Emmy of the night, having won another award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series for the same show. "My panic room is going to be so pretty!" she said onstage while holding her two Emmys.
"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" landed another award through Alex Borstein's win as best supporting actress in a comedy series. Meanwhile, Henry Winkler won his first Emmy in the best supporting actor in a comedy series category for his role as Gene Cousineau on HBO's "Barry".
The 70th annual Emmy Awards is taking place at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California, and is broadcasted live on NBC. Michael Che and Colin Jost serve as the hosts.
