AceShowbiz - A bunch of A-listers showed up in their best dresses at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to attend the 70th annual Emmy Awards on Monday, September 17. One particular star caught everyone's attention due to its unique fashion choice for the award-giving show. Jenifer Lewis hit the red carpet in a Nike sweatshirt.
The "Black-ish" actress teamed her black-and-red sweatshirt with black leggings and black-and-white sneakers. Talking about her outfit, Lewis said that she wore it to show support for Colin Kaepernick. The latter became the face of Nike's new "Just Do It" campaign after he protested against racial injustice during the national anthem before football games last year.
"I am wearing Nike to applaud them for supporting Colin Kaepernick and his protest against racial injustice and police brutality," she said. "We are not living in dark times. We are living in awakening times, and I am proud to be one of the leaders in the movement."
Others stars who turned heads during the red carpet portion of the event include Tiffany Haddish, Millie Bobby Brown and Tracee Ellis Ross. While the "Girls Trip" star wore a colorful stripped gown, the "Stranger Things" actress bared her shoulders in a pink Calvin Klein princess gown. Tracee similarly wore an off-the-shoulder Pierpaolo Piccioli gown.
Issa Rae, Amy Adams and Mandy Moore also showed a lot of colors when hitting the red carpet. While Issa stunned in a blue gown, Amy oozed glamor in a radiant blush red gown. Meanwhile, the "This Is Us" actress flaunted her cleavage in her plunging brown dress.
Mandy's co-star, Milo Ventimiglia, was shining in a white suit which he paired with a black bow tie. Gaten Matarazzo also looked bright when he hit the red carpet in a mustard yellow blazer, black trousers and matching bow tie.
