Legal team of Mohamed Hadid explains that the businessman has dropped the case against his rape accuser because she is 'actively dodging service.'

AceShowbiz - Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid's dad has dismissed a defamation lawsuit he filed against a woman who accused him of rape.

Businessman Mohamed Hadid claims he had a consensual meeting with 23-year-old Miranda Vee, who was paid by her co-conspirators to have sex with him.

He maintained she then set him up for an extortion demand by alleging he "date raped" her.

The 69 year old subsequently sued Vee for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and civil extortion, but, according to The Blast, Hadid is now dropping the lawsuit because his accuser has "continuously dodged service" of it.

Hadid's legal team also alleges Vee "appears to have decided to recant her false accusations against Mr. Hadid and is now unwilling to move forward with her fake lawsuit," adding her counsel, Lisa Bloom, "appears to now recognize that her client has no case at all against Mr. Hadid."

"Because it is apparent that Miranda Vasquez (Vee) is a liar and is insolvent and her allegations are fabricated, there is little point to serving her when she is actively dodging service and her counsel will not accept service on her behalf," the attorneys add.

Hadid is dismissing the case without prejudice, allowing him to re-file it at a later date.
