Before launching into the performance, the British musician says, 'And Mac, wherever you are, I hope you are happy now.'

AceShowbiz - Following the shocking death of Mac Miller a few days ago, many celebrities and fans have paid tribute to the late rapper. Elton John is no exception. The British singer dedicated one song to Miller during the opening night of his farewell tour at Allentown, Pennysylvania on Saturday night, September 8.

Before launching into his 1974 song "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", John told the audience that he'd like to dedicate the song to Miller. "It's inconceivable that someone as you that has so much talent can do that," he said. "I would like to pass all of our love and best wishes to his loved ones, his family, his friends. And Mac, wherever you are, I hope you are happy now."

John was not the only one who paid tribute to Miller during concert. Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) also took time at his Chicago show to pay a heartfelt tribute to his fellow rapper. "I'm a very sensitive person... but this Mac Miller s**t got me f***d up," he said. "He was so nice. He was the sweetest guy, he was so nice."

"We were both internet music kids, and a lot of critics were like, 'This corny-a** white dude, this corny-a** black dude,' and we used to talk. And this kid, he just loved music," the "Atlanta" creator continued. "We should be allowed to be sad about it. Like my heart was broken... and I feel good about being sad, because it tells me that he was special, that I had a special moment... Everybody in this room deserves that."

He then delivered a rendition of "Riot" and told the crowd that he dedicated the song to Miller. "So I just wanna say, 'I love you Mac,' and I just want to tell you that I love you and this song is for him, because I feel like sometimes he wanted to let go."

Miller died on Friday afternoon, September 7 of a suspected overdose.
