Just like what the title suggests, the song finds the married couple trading lyrics about how much they love each other.

AceShowbiz - Ashlee Simpson is back to the music industry, and she is bringing her husband Evan Ross with her. Ahead of the premiere of their reality show "ASHLEE+EVAN", the married couple unveiled a new song entitled "I Do" on Friday, September 7. The song marks their first collaboration together.

Just like what the title suggests, the song finds the two trading lyrics about how much they love each other. "I know the world can be broken/ But it's OK, I got you/ And I'ma make you tomorrow," Evan sings, before Ashlee gushes over her husband on her own verses, "Whenever I lose my way, you help me/ This love came over me like a hurricane/ But I know you got me."

"I Do" was co-written by both Evan and Ashlee along with Austin Brown, Brian London Palmer Reed and Verdine White. Talking about the song in a statement, they said, "Music was always one of the things that connected us from the beginning. We liked our voices together, and as time went on, we thought it was something that we wanted to share. 'I Do' is our commitment to each other."

In addition to marking their first time ever collaborating on music, the song is Ashlee's first single since her 2012 song "Bat for a Heart". During an interview with iHeartRadio, the songstress explained why "I Do" was the perfect song to mark her comeback in the music industry.

"I feel like I've learned a lot about myself and I've taken quite a long break like the longest break ever," she said. "But it feels good to come back now and be with my husband and do something that I just enjoy doing."

"I Do" serves as the first single off their upcoming joint album and will be featured in the premiere episode of "ASHLEE+EVAN" on September 9 on E!.
