AceShowbiz - Beloved U.S. TV veteran Dawn Wells' friends have launched a crowdfunding campaign to help the actress with her medical bills.
The "Gilligan's Island" star was suffering with complications from surgery when she broke her knee earlier this year, and the medical bills started piling up.
According to TMZ, Wells has been struggling with financial issues ever since the economic collapse in the U.S. in 2008, and she has already lost her home.
The 79 year old reportedly needs to move to a smaller assisted living facility for people in the entertainment industry, but she has been denied access because she is $180,000 (GBP139,400) in debt.
The actress' friends are hoping to move her to the facility in Glendale, California this week (ends September 07) and are raising money through the GoFundMe page to help pay off her debts.
