David announces on Instagram that his wife, Maria Cahill, is pregnant with a baby girl.

AceShowbiz - Actor David Henrie is set to become a first-time father.

The How I Met Your Mother star announced his wife, Maria Cahill, is pregnant with a baby girl on Wednesday, September 05.

"After getting married my life started to take on a meaning and importance that's indescribable...," he said in a video on Instagram Stories. "(It) made me such a better person".

"I cannot wait to see what being a poppa brings, I cannot wait," he added.

Henrie then posted footage from the couple's gender reveal party as the to-be parents discovered they would be having a daughter.

"ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL ITS A GIRL. Im a Poppa!!!!!!! Im so overwhelmed with joy I had to share this with you guys (sic)," he wrote on the social media site.

Henrie and Cahill wed in 2017.
