Titled 'The Conjugal Configuration', the season 12 premiere episode will heavily focus on Sheldon and Amy's honeymoon.

AceShowbiz - Ahead of its 12th and final season, "The Big Bang Theory" unearthes a brand new trailer to hype the upcoming season. The new video is consisted of both old and new footage of the hit CBS comedy.

The new footage offers fans a glimpse of Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik)'s life after their wedding in season 11 finale. The newlywed couple seems to be planning for their honeymoon. Sheldon, surprisingly, looks like a very accommodating husband as he discusses his to-do list with his wife.

The season 12 premiere episode is titled "The Conjugal Configuration". It will heavily focus on Sheldon and Amy's honeymoon. "Sheldon and Amy’s honeymoon runs aground in New York, while Penny and Leonard discover they are uncomfortably similar to Amy’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fowler (Teller and Kathy Bates). Also, Koothrappali insults physicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson and starts a Twitter war," reads the official description of the episode.

The upcoming season 12 will serve as the final season for the long-running series. CBS announced the saddening news last month. "We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of 'The Big Bang Theory' during the past twelve seasons," creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre said in a statement. "We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show's success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring 'The Big Bang Theory' to an epic creative close."

Rumors had it that the decision to wrap the series after 12 seasons was because Parsons were not interested in returning for a 13th season. In addition, Lorre allegedly believed that it'd better to end the longest-running multi-cam sitcom "unless all key auspices were coming back."

Taking to Instagram, Parsons shared an emotional message. "It is hard (nearly impossible, actually) to really accept that this is a picture of the first of the final 24 episodes we will shoot for The Big Bang Theory," he wrote alongside a photo featuring him along with "The Big Bang Theory" co-stars smiling brightly. "I feel very fortunate that we have another 23 episodes to shoot this season, because I am hopeful that with each and every one, my level of REALLY accepting this fact will sink in."

Also starring Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, season 12 of "The Big Bang Theory" will premiere on Monday, September 24 at 8 P.M. ET on CBS before moving to its regular time slot on Thursday, September 27 at 8 P.M. ET.
