Clayne Crawford Claims 'Reports About Me Are Blatant Lies'

The actor was fired from 'Lethal Weapon' following allegations about his explosive temper on the set as well as alleged altercation with then-co-star Damon Wayans.

AceShowbiz - Clayne Crawford, the star who was fired from TV's Lethal Weapon series, is defending himself over reports about his alleged behaviour on the set.

Crawford, who tackled the role made famous by Mel Gibson in the original Lethal Weapon movie franchise on the small screen, was dismissed from the spin-off in May for his alleged on-set outbursts during the first two seasons of the drama.

Following his departure, Clayne's former co-star Damon Wayans went public with allegations about the actor's explosive temper, but now he is insisting many of the accusations levelled against him are "blatant lies".

Referencing an incident, during which he reportedly yelled at an assistant director for not being able to keep the set quiet, he explains he was frustrated because the scene was taking longer than expected to film.

"I snapped," he tells the Drinkin' Bros. podcast. "Should I have gone to my trailer? 100 per cent. Should I have just gone and waited? That's what I was instructed to do when there was a problem - you go sit in your trailer and you lock your door and you take a nap. Hollywood is very sensitive, so I should not have screamed and yelled, right, because it's a bunch of very delicate flowers out there".

Clayne goes on to reveal he didn't know he had been axed from the show until he read the news on social media.

As a result he's now planning to boycott the Fox network, which aired the series: "I'm not even gonna watch f**king football on Thursday nights," he says.

"I won't watch Fox for the simple fact that they made a statement that, 'We didn't have anything to do with this'. I sent emails that going (sic), 'This s**t's about to come down, we need to get in a room and we need to have a conversation'. And nobody f**king returned my emails. No one called me".

Lethal Weapon has since been picked up for a third season, with American Pie star Seann William Scott playing a new character opposite Wayans' veteran detective Roger Murtaugh.
