The filmmaker previously denied the claims made by Haleigh Breest, accusing her of extortion and insisting.

AceShowbiz - Filmmaker Paul Haggis has requested the dismissal of a rape case against him, insisting the sex he had with accuser Haleigh Breest was consensual.

Breest filed a civil suit against the Oscar winner in December, claiming he forced her to pleasure him orally. The writer/director countersued earlier this year, accusing her of extortion and insisting claims she made against him are false.

In his new documents, obtained by The Blast, Haggis reveals he received oral sex from the publicist, but there was no rape involved, stating: "All sexual activity and interactions between the parties were consensual."

In her lawsuit, Breest claimed she and Haggis also had vaginal sex, but the Crash director has denied this. He has also denied claims he forced Breest to drink alcohol and her allegations she lost consciousness.

Haggis calls her story "shocking and scandalous".

The filmmaker has supported his argument that he's no sexual predator and respects women by including written testimonies signed by his female housekeeper and assistant, who has worked with Haggis for "close to 20 years".

She writes: "Over the course of this time, I've worked closely with him in both offices and in his home. Due to the creative and demanding nature of our profession, our days often extended late into the night, and countless times I was alone with him. Not once did I feel threatened, nor did he ever act inappropriately.

"Furthermore, I've overseen the employment of all of his personal assistants, many female, who have also worked closely with him, and never have any come forward with complaints of violence or inappropriate behavior."
