In a deposition, the 'Roar' hitmaker contradicted Kesha's statement suggesting the music producer had raped Perry.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry has dropped a bombshell on Kesha's legal battle with producer Dr. Luke by revealing she was never raped by the hitmaker.

In a highly redacted deposition dated 21 July (17), and released on Monday, August 27, the Roar singer made it clear she was aware that Kesha had made a statement suggesting Luke had raped her, but insisted it wasn't true.

Perry also denied reports suggesting the producer plied her with drugs and stated she was never in a sexual or romantic relationship with him.

Kesha's claims became a central part of Luke's defamation lawsuit against the Tik Tok winger, who maintains he raped her and gave her drugs against her will.

His lawyers also alleged Kesha told Lady Gaga that their client had raped Perry.

In her deposition, Gaga claimed Interscope Geffen A&M Records chairman and CEO John Janick told her and Kesha he had heard a "rumour" about Luke and Perry.

Pressed for more, the Poker Face star said, "He said something like, 'I heard he raped Katy, too'."

In a text message conversation, Gaga later expressed regret to Kesha over inadvertently bringing Perry into the ordeal.

The newly-released documents also feature a frustrated text from Gaga to Kesha, in which the Paparazzi star writes: "Your legal team and Dr. Luke have taken my private text messages that have been the only conversation about Katy Perry getting raped by Dr. Luke and made it public.

"This was a private conversation that you and your side and your team have made public. I would have never in a million years, in a million years made the fact that she got raped, if she got raped, public. Ever."

Janick, in his own deposition, said he had only met Perry once and was never told directly she had been raped by Luke.

Meanwhile, Dr.Luke's lawyers have released a new statement, which reads: "In 2014, Kesha filed a bogus Complaint against Dr. Luke - which she has voluntarily dismissed - falsely claiming that he drugged and raped her in 2005. Now, after four years of litigation, it is Dr. Luke's defamation claim that remains.

"Evidence is now publicly available to show that Kesha's Complaint was filed pursuant to a 'Press Plan' and PR media blitz, designed to create the maximum negative public pressure on Dr. Luke in order to get him to give in to her contract demands."

The documents released on Monday also include depositions from Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson, who discloses she refused to take a songwriting credit for her 2009 single My Life Would Suck Without You because "I don't want my name near his (Dr.Luke). That's how much I dislike him."

The Since U Been Gone singer also said she had heard other musicians also didn't like working with the producer, namely Pink.

She added, "In general, I don't know anyone that likes him... People have said he is sleazy."
