Both actors, who starred in the first season of the horror anthology series, are set to return for the upcoming eighth season.

AceShowbiz - Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott are ready to relive the horror of "Murder House" on "American Horror Story: Apocalypse". It was previously announced that two actors would return for the upcoming eighth season of the FX series, and now the first look at their on-set reunion has been shared online.

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy took to Instagram on Saturday, August 25 to share the picture showing Britton and McDermott, who played Vivien and Dr. Ben Harmon respectively in the first season, posing side by side. The "9-1-1" star wrapped his arm around McDermott's waist, while he had his around her shoulder.

"Connie and Dylan. The Harmon's in their forever AHS home...Murder House," Murphy captioned it.

It's quite obvious that they're back on the set of season 1 for the filming of the scenes involving Britton and McDermott's characters. The Harmons died in their dwelling, so that's where their ghosts remain based on the house's supernatural ruleset.

Besides Britton and McDermott, Jessica Lange will reprise her role as Constance in one episode. Other returning characters for "Apocalypse" include Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Stevie Nicks, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Cody Fern, Kathy Bates, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd. The new season also adds newcomers Billy Porter, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Kyle Allen to the cast.

Murphy recently shared the first look at the returning "Coven" witches in "Apocalypse". It featured Paulson, Nicks, Rabe, Roberts, Conroy, Sidibe and Farmiga standing on the stairs.

"Apocalypse" story will be a crossover between "Murder House" and the series' third season, "Coven". The story will follow the ending of "Murder House", where Vivien (Britton) died giving birth to an antichrist baby. It is still unknown whether Viviane will be back as a human or a ghost in the latest season.

Executive producer Alexis Martin Woodall said at the show's TCA panel earlier this month that the season's title should be taken literally. "The story begins with the end of the world, and then our world begins," she said.

"AHS: Apocalypse" is set to premiere September 12 on FX.
