The Canadian heartthrob takes home four awards at the Awkwafina-hosted show, including Artist of the Year and Fan Fave Video for 'In My Blood' music video.

AceShowbiz - The 2018 iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards has revealed its winners during a live ceremony that took place on Sunday, August 26 in Toronto, Canada. Shawn Mendes came out as the biggest winner at the event which was hosted by "Crazy Rich Asians" star and rapper Awkwafina.
The Canadian heartthrob, who closed out the event, brought home a total of four awards during the fun night, including Artist of the Year and Fan Fave Video for "In My Blood" music video. Trailing behind Mendes were Drake and Marshmello, who nabbed two awards each.
The hip-hop superstar won Best Hip-Hop Artist or Group and Best Director for "God's Plan" music video, which was directed by his longtime partner Karena Evans. Meanwhile, the "Alone" hitmaker took home Best EDM/Dance Artist or Group and Fan Fave Single for his Selena Gomez-assisted song "Wolves".
The biggest award of the night, Video of the Year, went to Logic thanks to his music video for "1-800-273-8255" featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid. The rapper couldn't come to receive the award, so Cara accepted it in his stead. "I'm accepting this but this is not my award," the songstress said during her acceptance speech. "This is Logic's award. This is his song, this is his message. I was just really, really honored to be a part of it."
Also taking home an award at the event were Ed Sheeran, Halsey and Bebe Rexha. While the British singer won Single of the Year for his hit "Perfect", Halsey was presented with the Artist for Change Award. Bebe, on the other hand, snatched the coveted Best Collaboration for her song "Meant to Be" featuring Florida Georgia Line.
K-Pop sensation BTS a.k.a. Bangtan Boys also managed to win an award despite not showing up. The seven-piece group won Fan Fave Duo or Group after beating the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer and Maroon 5.
