The 'Jerry Maguire' star will reprise the role of singing lawyer Billy Flynn on Broadway stage after performing for the new London production of the musical earlier this year.

AceShowbiz - Oscar winner Cuba Gooding, Jr. is returning to the stage as singing lawyer Billy Flynn in "Chicago" on Broadway.

The "Jerry Maguire" star originated the role, played on the big screen by Richard Gere, for the new London production of the musical earlier this year, and now he has accepted the part in the long-running New York show for a limited autumn run.

Cuba will play Flynn at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre from October 6 to November 18.

John O'Hurley is currently playing Flynn, opposite Michelle DeJean and Terra C. MacLeod.

Gooding made his Broadway debut, alongside Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams, in 2013's "The Trip to Bountiful".
