AceShowbiz - Jennifer Garner almost turned her back on Hollywood after becoming a mum for the third time.
The actress reveals her career crossroads came as her agent first offered her the role of Eve in "Dallas Buyers Club", and she had a very tough decision to make.
"Three kids just knocks you flat on your a**," she tells Variety. "I would have to decide, 'No, I actually do love this job'.
"(Agent) Patrick (Whitesell) said, 'Either this is the telephone call about you doing Dallas Buyers Club and how we're going to make that happen, or it's a telephone call about your retirement'. That was a real moment of decision and clarity and I loved him for it, because it forced me to say, 'OK, I am not ready to be home all the time'."
Garner stuck with her career, won acclaim for her role in "Dallas Buyers Club", and is the star of one of the most-anticipated new U.S. TV shows, "Camping".
She also unveiled a star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday, August 20, when she was joined for the ceremony by her three kids, 12-year-old Violet, Seraphina, nine, and six-year-old Samuel, from her marriage to estranged husband Ben Affleck.
