The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is spotted sitting at different tables with her daughter North and her nanny while eating lunch at Miami's Carpaccio restaurant.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian often shows her strong bond with her daughter North West on Instagram, but is she not really close with her children in reality? The mother of three was recently spotted sitting separately from her eldest kid during lunch.

According to an onlooker, the reality TV star sat at different tables with her daughter North and her nanny while eating lunch at Miami's Carpaccio restaurant over the weekend. They were reportedly joined by Kim's pals Jonathan Cheban and Larsa Pippen.

The three adults sat together, while North sat at a table nearby with her nanny. North was reportedly coming over to talk to her mom several times, but mostly spent her time playing with her iPad. The spy who posted about it online slammed the 37-year-old socialite, calling it "#sad."

But before you criticize her over her parenting style, Kim might have a good reason for it. According to another source, they were filming "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" when the family went out for lunch and North was seated at a different table to keep her off-camera.

"Kim was filming and North expressed that she didn't want to be on camera, so she sat at a table next to Kim," the source tells PEOPLE. North, however, has frequently appeared on the hit E! reality series.

Kim recently revealed she was faced with a hard question from her eldest daughter North. In a radio interview with Big Boy on Real 92.3, Kanye West's wife recalled the time her 5-year-old daughter asked, "Mom, why are you famous?"

"Oh, okay, okay. I'm going to have to explain this right now," Kim said of her reaction to North's question. "I'm like, 'We have a TV show.' And she was like, 'Oh, okay.' That was the first time she was like, 'Oh!' "
