In a recent interview, the Thor depicter reveals that he 'was close to destroying the camera' because of what happened.

AceShowbiz - Actor Chris Hemsworth recently came close to lashing out at the paparazzi in his native Australia after spotting the snappers snooping on his naked son.

The Avengers: Infinity War star and his wife, actress Elsa Pataky, have been careful not to show the faces of their daughter India, six, and four-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan whenever they post family pictures on social media, so when Chris caught photographers crashing a trip he had taken with one of his sons to a remote beach near their Byron Bay home, he almost lost his temper.

The incident was all the more worrying for Hemsworth as his child was stripping off his bathing suit - but even that didn't stop the cameramen from putting their equipment away.

"He's naked, and I look over, and they're still shooting," Chris recalls to GQ magazine. "I ran over, and they knew. I just very pointedly and definitely said, 'Don't you dare.' I was close to destroying the camera."

Hemsworth's efforts to preserve some privacy for his children are the reason why he and Elsa have repeatedly rejected endorsement offers for their family.

"The exploitation is something I'm very wary of," he explains. "We've been offered things, like 'Advertise such-and-such and have dinner with your family.' There's no way."

However, Chris admits he is still learning to balance the public interest in his personal life with how much he is willing to share.

"The social media side of it is just trying to work out: How do you keep up with the times?" he muses. "You see that Sylvester Stallone has an Instagram account, and you kind of go, 'This is the world we're in.'"

The increasing media attention also spurred Chris' decision to relocate back to Australia from Los Angeles in 2014, but the 35 year old reveals Spanish beauty Elsa wasn't initially sure of the big move.

"Both trips we did, it was like pouring rain," he shares. "And she was like, 'I don't know what the big fuss is.'

"Then I said, 'Let's do a trip up to Byron Bay,' and we get off the plane and it's raining. I'm like, 'Oh, my God. I'm not selling it.' And she instantly went, 'No, there's something different about this place. It is a very special place.' She went, 'This could be it. It could be the best decision we've made.'"

The couple has been married since 2010.
