The Who star reveals, 'I never seem to be in the same pocket where I'm singing it for the first time.'

AceShowbiz - The Who star Roger Daltrey hates performing the band's hit Won't Get Fooled Again because it bores him senseless.

The Pete Townshend track was released as a single in 1971 and remains one of the British rock group's fan favourites, but Daltrey would have no problem dropping it from a set list.

"That's the only song I'm bloody bored s**tless with," he tells Rolling Stone magazine. "I don't know why, but I'm being honest. All the others I can approach like I'm singing for the first time.

"I don't know what's happening there psychologically. Maybe it's the song, but I never seem to be in the same pocket where I'm singing it for the first time."

And there's one The Who song Daltrey reveals he'll never perform live - Rael from the album The Who Sell Out.

"We couldn't do that," he tells the publication. "I don't think I can sing up there anymore. I could probably do most of it, but I don't want to ever sing Rael onstage.

"That was done in the studio... It was all tape-looped and double-tracked on two tape recorders. Bouncing across it was layers after layers of vocals. Just trying to bloody reinvent that would be a nightmare."
