The adult actress, who has signed up for the reality series, is expected to spill the beans about her alleged affair with Donald Trump on the show.

AceShowbiz - Stormy Daniels looks set to create more awkward headlines for U.S. President Donald Trump after signing up to appear on Britain's Celebrity Big Brother.

The adult actress, 39, who claims to have slept with America's leader shortly after his 2005 marriage to the First Lady, Melania Trump, is one of 13 stars heading into the Big Brother house when the U.K. reality show begins on Thursday, August 16.

Others announced as contestants on Monday include ex-Cheers actress Kirstie Alley, former Liverpool and England soccer star Jermaine Pennant, and Nick Leeson, the financial criminal played by Ewan McGregor in the 1999 movie Rogue Trader.

According to a source, producers believe Stormy is their biggest signing - as they're hoping she'll create headlines by spilling the beans about her alleged affair with Trump, 72.

"Stormy is the biggest signing for this year's show and she'll make headlines around the world," a TV insider tells U.K. newspaper The Sun. "Bosses were so keen to get her on board and it's a fantastic opportunity for her."

Stormy, real name is Stephanie Clifford, is currently embroiled in multiple lawsuits against the president and his former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. She alleges the lawyer gave her $130,000 (£100,000) in "hush money" to stop her damaging the Donald's 2016 election chances by going public with her claims.

Producers are also hoping Kirstie's presence in the Big Brother house will attract viewers to this year's series, which has a theme of seeking redemption for past scandals, by revealing Hollywood secrets and feuds, as well as opening up about her battles with her weight and her association with the controversial religious movement, Scientology.

"She's a Hollywood legend and has plenty of juicy stories to tell," The Sun's source added. "With the theme of retribution and stars talking about their own publicity storms - Kirstie couldn't be better suited."

Other contestants on the show, which airs on U.K. network Channel 5, include soap stars Ryan Thomas and Roxanne Pallet, as well as Chloe Ayling, the British model at the centre of a kidnapping in Italy.
