The young model says that she was awake during the process and 'it was definitely the most pain I've ever been through in my entire life.'

AceShowbiz - Paris Jackson underwent surgery to remove an abscess on Friday, August 10.

The 20-year-old, who is the only daughter of late music icon Michael Jackson, revealed to fans in a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Saturday that she had undergone the procedure to remove an abscess "that was almost the size of a golf ball".

Paris did not explain where the abscess, typically a collection of pus that has built up within the tissue of the body, had developed.

"That's one of the things that just grows and grows and grows, until it pops. And if it pops, you can go septic and die. But I didn't die and they operated immediately," she noted, adding that she had been putting off the procedure for a while.

Doctors recommended that Paris should be placed under general anaesthesia for the surgery, but she declined.

"They did say that it was something I should've gone under for surgery for, but I didn't," the Gringo actress said. "I was awake for all of it and it was definitely the most pain I've ever been through in my entire life, considering I'm covered head-to-toe in tattoos. But I'm alive!"

However, despite undergoing an operation the day before, Paris performed with her new band, The Soundflowers, at the Canyon Sessions fundraising benefit for F**k Cancer in Los Angeles on Saturday, in front of her grandmother Katherine Jackson.

"We played a show today, and we didn't completely suck, and my f**king grandma was there, and I'm so relieved that she didn't hate it, that she actually liked it. And, I don't know, that means the world to me," she shared in the video. "Also, sorry if I sound weird, I'm on a lot of meds right now to kind of get me through the pain of the procedure. I shouldn't have even left bed today."

In a separate post on Instagram, Paris uploaded a series of pictures showing her holding her 88-year-old grandmother's hand and kissing her on the cheek.

"I can't believe my grandma made it to our second live show ever. and she actually liked it!?!!! i was s**ting my pants," she wrote in the caption. "I love you so much grandma. i'm so happy we got to play for you and to play for such an incredible cause (sic)."
