AceShowbiz - Former 3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell is facing a new drug charge from behind bars after allegedly introducing "contraband" into prison.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department arrested Harrell on Friday, August 03 after drugs were intercepted during a procedural screening of incoming mail to the Jackson County Jail in Mississippi, according to Sheriff Mike Ezell.
Harrell is already behind bars on a charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after police officers responded to an alarm at his home in June, and discovered guns and drugs.
The rocker was kicked out of 3 Doors Down following his arrest for causing a fatal 2013 crash in Nashville, Tennessee while speeding.
He was sentenced to two years in prison and six years of probation.
If convicted on the new charge, Harrell could face a further seven-year prison sentence.
