Kendall explained she skipped Paris Fashion Week earlier this year and opted to stay home to take care of her mental health.

AceShowbiz - Kendall Jenner was on the "verge of a mental breakdown" before she took a break from fashion.

The model is one of the most sought-after names in the industry, having been tapped to front campaigns for the likes of Fendi, Estee Lauder, La Perla and Calvin Klein Jeans.

However, Kendall was noticeably absent from the runways during the fall/winter 2018 season earlier in the year and has now explained that she had opted to stay home in order to take care of her mental health.

"Last season I didn't do any shows. Just 'cause I was working in LA and I was like, 'Oof, I can't right now - I'm gonna go crazy,'" she told LOVE magazine in an interview for the publication's 10th anniversary issue. "I was on the verge of a mental breakdown."

Kendall skipped Paris Fashion Week, where the likes of Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber made appearances.

However, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star did rock the catwalk at Versace's spring 2019 menswear presentation held during Milan Fashion Week in June, five months after her last runway gig.

And while Kendall has grown up in the spotlight, she also shared that she wishes she could have anonymity from time to time.

"I live a very extraordinary life. I wouldn't change it for the world but there are days where I wish I could walk outside and nothing would be like it is right now," the 22-year-old added.

Previously, Kendall has opened up about her struggles with anxiety and panic attacks on her family's reality TV show. Additionally, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar in January, she noted that her anxiety could be "debilitating".

"I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks," she said. "Where do I even start? Everything is so horrible, it's hard to name one thing. I just think that the world needs so much love."
